Robert E. Welsh has an extensive and varied background in State and local taxation. He is a Certified Illinois Assessing Officer (“C.I.A.O.”) and has taught and lectured on the appraisal of residential, commercial, industrial and agriculture properties for property tax purposes. Prior to joining the firm in 2003, he served as Deputy Supervisor of Assessments for Winnebago County, Illinois (1975–1976); Supervisor of Assessments for Boone County, Illinois (1976–1986); National Manager of Property Tax for Quaker Oats Company (1986–1993); Regional Manager for Cushman & Wakefield (1993–1995); and Associate Member with the real estate tax law firm of Amari & Locallo (1995–2002). Mr. Welsh provides real estate representation to property owners at every stage of the appeal process, both before administrative bodies and courts. He has particular expertise working with governmental bodies to obtain Real Estate Tax Incentives and/or Tax Abatements for appropriate projects.
