A trial and appellate practitioner throughout his career, Mr. Prinzi first served as a Special Assistant and Assistant Illinois Attorney General from 1979 to 1986 representing several state agencies, including the Department of Revenue in state and local taxation matters as a member of the Revenue Litigation Division. In private practice with the Chicago firm of Bona & Prinzi from 1986 to 1994, he maintained a diversified commercial and administrative law practice, including service as Special Counsel to the Ohio Attorney General representing the Ohio Department of Insurance in insurance liquidation matters in the Midwest. Returning to government service in 1994, he served in the Cook County State’s Attorneys Office, with his last position as Division Chief of the Municipal Litigation, Transactions and Real Estate Tax sections of the Civil Actions Bureau until joining the firm in 2008. In addition to his active real estate taxation practice, Mr. Prinzi continues to serve as a speaker/presenter at conferences sponsored by the Illinois State Bar Association, Circuit Court of Cook County, the Appraisal Institute and the Civic Federation of Chicago on matters related to real estate tax practice and policy.
